Dany and his truffle hound have been locating ideal sites for finding extraordinary English truffles since 2017. These truffles are in high demand and are sold to high-end restaurants, connoisseurs, and truffle aficionados.
Truffle hunting in the region was famous in centuries past but declined around the 1920s. However, interest in the activity has increased in the last decade. Responding to client interest, we have been organizing the “Natural Truffle Day Out Experience” since 2018/2019, which took a hit in 2020.We are thrilled to announce that ‘Natural Truffle and his truffle hound’ are back for the 2024 season, ready to guide you on an unforgettable truffle hunting adventure!
What to expect:
During the ‘Natural Truffle Day Out Experience ‘, groups of 8–15 people will be welcomed on selected days of the month in Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire. The morning will be spent at a local site, exploring wooded areas carefully selected for their truffle-producing potential. With the assistance of the truffle hound, the truffle man will demonstrate the art of finding and retrieving these prized possessions from the ground. The group will then head to a local restaurant, where they will be taught the process of cleaning the truffles, a crucial step in preparing them for the truffle-infused meal.After the experience, guests can relax and enjoy an exquisite four-course meal with drinks from highly-rated local chefs. The meal will feature a selection of delicious truffle-infused dishes.
As a souvenir, guests will also receive a keepsake from the day, emphasizing the extraordinary value of truffles. Due to limited availability, booking as soon as space becomes available is best to avoid disappointment. This experience is ideal for special occasions when quality and enjoyment matter!
